CREATES-FNS played an important role in orchestrating the participation of the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in a transformative 14-days mobility program to France, spanning from June 27th to July 11th, 2023. This mobility initiative encompassed both NM-AIST staff members and students who harbored innovative startup ideas and had been nurtured through the Innoversity Project. Notably, the Innoversity Project is being led by Sahara Ventures and receives financial support from the French Embassy in Tanzania.
The mobility program facilitated a series of enlightening visits and meetings with a diverse array of researchers, innovators, startup companies, and angel investors within the French Innovation Ecosystem. This collaborative exchange is poised to yield substantial outcomes, including the potential establishment of noteworthy enterprises and collaborative research initiatives. The connections forged during this engagement hold the promise of fostering innovation, entrepreneurial growth, and enduring research endeavors.
