Dr. Richard Alward, who spent about 6 moths at CREATES, NM-AIST, between 2019 and 2020, donated a drone worth more than 11,000 USD to CREATES for research activities in March 2020. The drone has a high resolution multispectral camera for vegetation assessment and will help students assessing wildlife and habitat properties in cultivated and protected areas.
Drone workshop:
At TCDT (Danish) CREATES supported a Co-Creation workshop on how to use drones to answer ecological questions in Sept 2019. Stakeholders from NCA, TANAPA, TCCIA, NM-AIST students and others were present to listed to the instructors from Tanzania Flying Labs and WeRobot.
